Important Notice regarding Court Booking

Dear Members,

This is an important message so please take the time to read

We are at that time of year where playing tennis during weekdays is restricted to our two floodlit courts. To try to encourage members to use these as much as possible, we feel it would be beneficial to have a court booking system so you can be assured of a court before you travel to the club.

We have implemented a ‘Book-It’ system which will go live from Saturday 8th December. This will enable members to book courts, for a maximum of 2 hours per session, 7 days in advance of when they would like to play. We hope this will encourage people to play more given the assurance they can take from court availability. This will be for all days of the week between 9am to 9.30pm and therefore is not just restricted to the floodlit courts.

It is a very simple system, you need to launch it using the “Court Booking” link on our website and then follow the instructions. We would encourage everyone to register as soon as possible so you can get familiar with the system before it goes live. There is a help section on the site should you have any questions.

When booking a court, you will be asked to select a ‘usage’ type. We would encourage you to select ‘Other’ and then type your name in; this will make it more transparent to other members who has the court booked and also to encourage people to contact each other and play together.

As mentioned, you only have the ability to book courts 7 days in advance; if for any reason you need a court booked further in advance than this (for example, a rearranged fixture), please email info@bromleywendover.co.uk and the administrator will book this for you.

Club matches will have courts booked for them at the start of the season; captains are responsible for ensuring this has been input correctly. Similarly, club sessions and coaching will be booked in advance too.

If anyone has any questions, please email info@bromleywendover.co.uk. We will then collate everyone’s question and answer these to the entire club for everyone’s information.

One word of caution; the website is not the fastest – please be patient as we do feel this will be a benefit to club members.

Between now and the 1st December, the courts will continue to operate on a first come first served basis (with the exception of club matches and coaching taking priority).

Thanks,

The Committee
